Since Whilton Marina Ltd purchased Venetian Marina in December 2011, an intensive improvement programme has transformed the Marina and its infrastructure for its loyal customers and the region’s aspiring narrow boat owners.
Among the positive changes which have taken place: the Marina has been partially dredged, the water edge has been re-piled, old wooden piers have been replaced with new galvanised piers which are finished with non-slip fibreglass decking which are the best on the inland waterways, the pier water system has been re-plumbed, electric pods have been installed and a new tarmac walkway has been laid around the Marina.
A narrow boat sales basin has also been created which has capacity for over 40 narrow boats. Customers can browse the narrow boats at their leisure and discuss their requirements and aspirations with the friendly and knowledgeable team who are on hand at Venetian Marina to help.
