Wireless Internet

We understand that our customers whilst wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, still want to enjoy certain home comforts. With the now widespread use of the Internet, many people wish to be able to browse the net, collect emails or work from home.

The Network

We have installed a large scale wireless network which covers the vast majority of our 180 acre park and provides a wireless broadband connection that enables you to surf the net from the comfort of your holiday home, touring caravan or even from the play area with your wi-fi enabled laptop or PC.

The service is free from any caps or daily download limits, however there are systems in place which block many of the P2P or Peer to Peer networks that some people use for file sharing.

This should ensure that all users get an equal share of the bandwidth available.

Prices

The cost of the service couldn’t be simpler and are as follows.

Up to one week access                  £10.00

Up to one month access                 £25.00

Season (Apr 1st– Nov 1st)      £70.00

Upon receipt of payment you will be given a unique user name and password that will permit access to the service. For weekly and monthly access, your time starts from the first successful login to the service.

Security

For your security there is an authentication system in place, which monitors all connections to the service and will permit access for the duration that you have paid for. It will also stop additional users from using your unique user name and password and will automatically report misuse of the service to us.

Reliability

As with any wireless service, there are a whole host of factors that can affect performance including weather, atmospheric conditions, radio interference and more. We are also reliant upon the stability of our service provider and the telephone lines – so whilst the system has been designed with stability in mind, there are no guarantees of a 24/7 uninterrupted service.

Help and Assistance

We have compiled an easy start guide for customers taking up this service, which answers most questions about getting connected. Basically any laptop or pc with a suitable wi-fi adapter that conforms to the 802.11g standard will work with our wireless network.

However we have found that not all adapters are manufactured equally. Some wireless adapters appear to be comparatively deaf when compared to some of the better performing models.

Future Development

With more and more devices and appliances becoming wi-fi enabled, we are constantly looking for other ways in which the network can and will be used.

Free Trial

If you are a holiday home owner or touring caravan seasonal resident, we can offer you a free 24 hour pass to get a feel of what the service is actually like.

Simply call into the office and ask for your free one-day trial.

Please note the free one-day trial is offered subject to availability and only one offer per plot can be issued.
