Holiday Home Stories: The Shafer Family

We have some lovely families who own a holiday home at Cosgrove Park, and we’ve asked The Shafer Family to give us a review of their time here at the park, so you can have a better understanding on what on offer.

Mr and Mrs Shafer have been holiday home owners at Cosgrove Park for five years and they love the park just as much as we do. Here's their story below!

So what made you purchase a Holiday Home?

It was just a spur of the moment decision. We came to Cosgrove Park just to have a look around and we asked if they had any lakeside pitches available just to see what they were like. We were given two plots to have a look at and we fell in love with the second plot . We then went straight in and paid the deposit.

Why Cosgrove Park?

It's 15 minutes drive door to door, in a lovely setting, it's always clean and well maintained. Security was a big thing for us, as we had been on another holiday park for seven years with nothing. We love the fact that no matter where you go there are plenty of green spaces and being able to build friendships with other residents on site. We also like that you can't rent out your own holiday home. We love getting together with other owners, catching up and going to outings with them. Friends are very important to us and this is a wonderful chance to make and meet them.

Over the 2019 season we've swam in the mornings, attended to the summer events marquee, been on the off road buggies, participated in the laser shooting, Segway experience, Powerboating and Paddle Boarding which were all included in the site fees we pay. we really can’t get enough of it all!

Our holiday home is well looked after by the security and all the staff who are on site and work around the different areas. If we ever have any problems the site office deals with them promptly. It's like a never ending holiday!
