1. Willen Lake

Willen Lake is made up of two separate lakes: the south lake and north lake. The south lake offers a wide range of activities on and off the water with something for everyone to enjoy, including Treetop Extreme high ropes course, outdoor splash park Splash ‘n’ Play, and watersports such as wakeboarding, kayaking and stand up paddleboarding. It’s a great place to go to entertain your family and friends of all ages, whether it’s a quick visit to the café or restaurant, a nice stroll, trying a new watersports course or hiring a themed pedalo. Willen Lake North is a nature reserve with fish, beautiful scenery, sheep and more to explore!

2. Rushmere Country Park

Rushmere Country Park is only a short drive from Milton Keynes on the way to Leighton Buzzard and is a great place to take the kids. Rushmere Country Park is a nature reserve with lots of Fairy doors to explore and plenty of activities on the trail around the park the kids wont get bored and you can stretch your legs whilst having fun!

3. Irchester Country Park

At Irchester Country Park there's plenty to do with the family at no charge at all! You can play on their Quarry themed play area, Walk one of their 3 adventure trails (Woodpecker, Woodland or Ironstone Trail) and even discover Steam trains at their on site railway museum!

4.Salcey Forest

Salcey Forest is only 7 miles from the centre of Northamptonshire so only a short drive from Cosgrove Park. The Beautiful woodland has so much to do including 3 walking trails, a cycling trail, a horse riding trail, play areas for the children to have a laugh and a picnic area! Best of all as its outside all animals are welcome so if you have your dog with you why don't you take them for a walk around Salcey Forest and see some beautiful scenery.

5.Stanwick Lakes

Stanwick Lakes is 750 acres of picturesque country side attraction and nature reserve located in Nene Valley Northamptonshire and really close to the fabulous Rushden Lakes shopping centre.
